Root Canal Treatment Explained: Kab Zaroori Hota Hai Aur Kya Really Dard Hota Hai?

Root canal ka naam sunte hi log kehte hain, “Bas ye hi mat karwana!” But reality itni scary nahi hoti. Root canal tab kiya jata hai jab tooth ka andar wala soft part – pulp – badly infected ya inflamed ho jaata hai, usually deep cavity, crack, ya old filling ki wajah se.

Symptoms ho sakte hain: severe dard (especially raat ko), garam–thanda pe sharp pain, chewing pe discomfort, kabhi-kabhi gum pe chhota sa pimple-type swelling. X-ray se dentist dekh sakta hai ki infection root ke around kitna spread ho chuka hai.

Procedure me local anaesthesia diya jata hai, isliye actual process ke time pain nahi, sirf pressure/working feel hota hai. Dentist infected pulp nikalta hai, canals clean–shape karta hai, medicines use karke disinfect karta hai, phir unhe fill karke seal kar deta hai. Baad me normally crown lagaya jata hai taki tooth strong aur long-term usable rahe.

Old zamane ki painful stories ab bhi circulate hoti hain, lekin modern anaesthesia, technology aur techniques se experience kaafi manageable ho gaya hai. Little soreness procedure ke baad 1–2 din reh sakti hai, jo painkillers se control ho jaati hai.

Root canal ka main aim tooth ko bachana hai. Agar yeh na karaya jaye jahan zaroori ho, to infection spread hokar abscess, swelling, aur kabhi-kabhi extraction tak baat pahunch sakti hai. Dentist ka kaam hai options explain karna; final decision calmly, proper information ke saath lo.
