Fatty Liver Basics: Test Report Me “Grade 1” Likha Ho To Kya Matlb Hota Hai?

Ultrasound report me “fatty liver grade 1” dekh ke log ghabra jaate hain. Ye indicate karta hai ki liver cells me extra fat deposit ho raha hai. Early stage pe symptoms usually nahi hote, isliye ye incidentally detect hota hai.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver often overweight, central obesity (belly fat), high sugar, insulin resistance, cholesterol issues, sedentary lifestyle se linked hota hai. Alcohol use bhi obvious risk factor ho sakta hai.

Grade 1 ka matlab ye nahi ki liver abhi fail ho raha hai, but ye warning light jaisa hai. Agar habits same rahe to aage chal ke inflammation (NASH), fibrosis, cirrhosis tak progress risk hota hai.

Lifestyle change yahan main treatment hota hai:

  • Weight reduction (even 5–7% weight loss beneficial).
  • Processed, deep-fried, sugary foods kam karna.
  • Regular physical activity – brisk walking, strength training.
  • Alcohol reduce/stop (as advised).

LFT (liver function tests), sugar, lipid profile monitor karna bhi zaroori hai. Kabhi-kabhi ultrasound ke alawa further tests recommended hote hain.

“Grade 1 hi toh hai, ignore karo” ya “ab to liver khatam” – dono extreme overreaction hain. Is stage pe consciously track change karna sabse smart move hai.
